Lake RARA (2980m) is Nepal’s largest lake, which houses otters and many fish species. This is one of the best  destination to view Nepal’s wildlife including the Himalayan bear. This area is one of the least inhabited trekking routes, which will give you a feel for the complete natural environment of Nepal. Horse riding or hiking to the near by mountain called “MURMATOP” is another attraction in the are,a which is not to miss while you are in Rara. Murmatop offers you a breathtaking view of Lake Rara and surrounding high mountains  including beautiful landscape and coniferous forest.

Rara Lake region is not heavily traveled and it passes through a region that affords cultural interactions and scenery quite different from the rest of other trekking routes in Nepal.
