This is an extra ordinary mode of tour  from Pokhara. This trip allows you to experiences simultaneously of trekking  up to 3200m high altitude mountains with full of rhododendrons forest and an exploration of extensive area of lower Mustang within a week long tour.  In the trekking part the major portion of the trekking route is still intact with the roads and thus wilderness is still  maintained. You can enjoy with the beautiful scenic mountain landscape, series of snow peaked white mountains, flora and fauna during your short trek before  you go for driving tour towards lower Mustang Valley. Since the recently constructed gravel road in between Tatopani to Jomsom to Kagbeni and a black topped road between Kagbeni to Muktinath has now almost replaced the old trekking trails in this ares as a result visitors are influenced to take a drive instead of trekking in this region. However, the old tradition, culture  of the local inhabitants mainly the Thakali People who have been living in this region since the ancient times have not yet been changed much and the authenticity is still alive. As you go further up from Jomsom, you can see the differences in geography, people who are more influenced by Tibetan culture. There is a changes  in day to day life style of local people, religious traditions, building architecture and almost everything at large compared to peoples living below Kagbeni.
