DOLPA TREK

One of the most isolated area choosing for trekking in Nepal is the DOLPA Region. It is situated between the Tibetan plateau and the Dhaulagiri Himalayan range is the highest inhabited land of western Nepal. Dolpo, a land beyond the Himalaya, conjures up visions of mysterious monasteries, snow leopards and blue sheep; it is situated in the north-west part of the country, and is one of the most remote region in Nepal. The traditions and way of life have remained intact in Dolpa Region since decades. The first trekking in this route were organized in autumn of 1990 by the first British tour operator.

 

Series of high passes  throughout the trek is another exhilarating challenge for the nature hunters.

DAJA  to AMCHI HOSPITAL or SANDUWA

AMCHI HOSPITAL or SANDUWA to PHOKSUNDO LAKE

Day 11

Rest at PHOKSUNDO/ACCLIMATIZATION

PHOKSUNDO to SALLAGHARI (7-8 hrs)

SALLAGHARI  to BASE CAMP (6-7 hrs)

Day14

BASE CAMP to SHEY GUMPA via NAGDALO PASS – 5350m

Day 15

SHEY GUMPA to NAMGUNG(NAM GUMPA)

Day 16

NAMGUNG  to SALDANG (2-3 hrs)

Day 17

SALDANG to KHOMAS GAUN (6-7 hrs)

Day 18

KHOMAS GAUN to SHIMEN GAUN via NANGLA PASS – 4375M (3-4 hrs)

Day 19

SHIMEN GAUN  to TINJE GAUN (6-7 hrs)

Day 20

TINJE GAUN to CAMP SITE or  MOLO (6-7 hrs)

Day 21

CAMP SITE or  MOLO to CHHARKABHOT (6-7 hrs)

Day 22

CHHARKABHOT to YAK KHARKA(NUDUNJE KHARKA)

Day 23

YAK KHARKA(NUDUNJE KHARKA) to GALDYANG GULDUNG  via NIWAR PASS – 5120m & JUNGBEN LA/PASS – 5550m

GALDYANG GULDUNG  to SANGDA(SANTA) (6-7 hrs)

Day 25

SANGDA(SANTA) to JOMSOM via PHALEK (6-7 hrs)

Day 26

JOMSOM TO POKHARA (by air)

POKHARA TO KATHMANDU (by AIR or BY TOURIST BUS)

KATHMANDU SIGHT SEEING TOUR AND SOUVENIR  SHOPPING

Trek start from JUPHAL Airport Dolpa – go to lake Phoksundo – return to JUPHAL airport.
