Everest Base Camp Trekking
Everest base camp trek is a great introductory lodge trek that offers sensational mountain views and an insight into the lives of the Sherpa people. After exploring the historical Kathmandu city we take an exciting mountain flight to Lukla and trek up the Dudh Kosi Valley, surrounded by the soaring peaks of Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru. It’s a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar, capital of the Kumbu Sherpas, where we are again greeted by spectacular mountain vistas. A rest day here aids acclimatization and there are great optional walks to enjoy the area. We then follow the trail to famous Tengboche, located high on a ridge where a magnificent 360-degree panorama awaits. The views of Everest, the Lhotse-Nuptse Wall, Ama Dablam and Kantega dominate this peaceful and spiritual location – surely one of the most tranquil and inspiring places in the world.

While passing Buddhist monasteries views of Everest get closer every day. This stunning trek visits both, Everest base camp and Kala Patar (5555m), a viewpoint recognised as the best vantage point to see Mount Everest which is a premier goal for many adventurous walkers in the Himalaya. After trekking to base camp and Kalapattar we return at our leisurely pace back to Namche and Lukla for our return flight to Kathmandu.

For the more adventurous trekkers you have the option of returning over the Cho La pass to the Gokyo valley and side trek to Gokyo Ri.

Mt. Everest expedition from Tibet side has become more popular among the mountaineers to make their dream come true to stand on the summit of Mt. Everest. Among the several reasons, low cost of royalty and other basic mountaineering services as well as the easy route to the summit are the key factors to attract more Everest climbers from North Col. than from the South Col of Nepal. There are no easy routes on Everest but we try to put the odds on our side. We take the North Ridge because we consider it to be the safest. Technically, it is more challenging than the South Side but does not have the ice fall danger. Our Advanced Base Camp (6,400m.) is right under the shadow of Changtse and has a view of virtually the whole route. From here we use four more camps, a formula that has brought us considerable success in the past.

Our trip starts from Kathmandu and drives to Kodari, Zhangmu, Nyalam and continue drive to the BC at 5,400m. and from there it is 22 km to the ABC at 6400m by yaks. We put an intermediate camp on the glacier about half way between BC and ABC, so this trip takes two days. From the ABC the route continues up the East Rongbuk glacier to the north of the glacier and then up easy snow slopes to the North Col at 7,000m.

Nepal is not only famous for trekking and climbing in the high mountains but is also place for the honey hunting.

Honey Hunting is the real and frequent activity of indigenous Gurung and Magar Community in Bhujung and Pasgaon for honey hunting from which they are able to solve their problem of bread and butter. This ancestral job of honey hunting still continues in many remote villages of Nepal while offering high tourism potential.

“The honey hunters are a tribe of Mongol in Nepal who follow the tradition of honey hunting, a tradition passed down since generations. The bees are driven away from the honeycomb by smoke. Besides being an economic activity harvesting cliff honey, honey hunting also involves special rituals and satisfies the leisure requirements of isolated mountain people. Hunting cliff honey is a dangerous activity and most of the cliffs are named and remembered by the names of honey hunters who died during honey harvesting. This culture does not allow the total eradication of bee nests but rather supports the sustainable presence and multiplication of cliff bees.”

Nepal Government in consultation with Nepalese travel trade sector & concerned organizations decided on October 25, 2008 to lunch a national campaign “Nepal Tourism Year 2011”. This announcement reflects the government’s anticipation to bring into Nepal one million international tourists by the year 2011 & tourism industry’s exigency to organize a tourism promotion campaign for wider impact.

Natural beauty Nepal, a country of sublime beauty, tucked away in the shades of the highest mountain range in the shades of the highest mountain range in the world can’t truly be labeled the “last paradise” on earth. Even in such a small area of 147181 sq. km. Nepal presents a myriad of attractions to tourists & locals alike ranging from its scenic beauty & well preserved exotic culture to the adventure opportunities in every nook & cranny in the country. When the hippie culture hit the world in the mid 20th century, Nepal couldn’t remain an exception. Indeed, the first tourists who came to Nepal were these hippies who arrived in search of cheap marijuana. Hashish was available here & there were no laws preventing its use. Thus backpackers with like of Jim Morrison & Jami Hendrix thronged to Nepal & well known “Freak Street” established itself as the tourist hub of Nepal.

Tourism has developed much in Nepal & it has lots more to offer to tourists than just narcotic. Due to the diverse topography, altogether different forms of live have developed in the northern Himalayan valleys & the southern plains of the terai. These lifestyles have given rise to different customs & traditions. Exotic cultures have developed which differ with the part of the country you are in the mid hills & southern pains being the richest in traditions. Festivals like the Bisket Jatra & Kumari Jatra cannot be seen in any other part of the world. Neither can one experience such hospitality any where else. Nepalese believe in traditional Sanskrit saying “Atithi Devo Bhava” (meaning guest & gods are like)”. This is what makes them so hospitable that they can never regard their guests with differences & always warm heartily welcome them & try to help them as much as possible where else in the world you can paragliding, ride, bungee jumping, mountain flight, river rafting off one of the highest fall in the world, bird watching, go for a safari in jungles home to one horned Rhinoceroses, royal Bengal tigers & yet canoe or kayak in white water rivers or go for trek or even try to ascend the world’s highest mountains? Nepal has it all which many destinations lack. This country always makes you feel elated, as it you have just landed into the paradise, a small yet really beautiful utopia. The wilderness Kenya might be excellent for jungle safari but can it offer snow? The bleacher of Hawaii be the best in the world can one go for a safari there? Here in Nepal, one can do all the things they have never even dreamt of one can go for an elephant ride to see the endangered one horned rhinos & an hour later be at the foot of Everest with all the mountaineering gear ready to scale it. Nepal has it all, from riverside beaches & exotic wildlife to people who value their traditions & presents them selves with almost hospitality to tourists.

Yoga, Meditation and Trekking Course

For those of you who would like to combine your trekking trip with few days of Yogic experiences, the Shivapuri Yoga Trek might be the perfect alternative. The Yoga classes are designed by well reputed Yoga teachers in such a way as to link up daytime trekking activities with your morning yoga and meditation instruction. Constant mindfulness forms an important part of this programme requiring you to be ever alert to your breathing no matter whether you are walking, sleeping or trekking.

The Shivapuri Yoga spot is a classic Nepalese architect featuring just a few small hut type clay houses in the midst of Shivapuri National Park. Away from the hustle bustle of city activities this can prove to be a perfectly ideal retreat where you can not only enjoy the natural beauty with breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas, the lush greenery of the park, forest and wilderness, but can also wind down much of the pressure you have accumulated. There is also the opportunity for culture experience. Visiting the nearby community and interacting with them whose lifestyle remains pretty much the same until today as they were hundreds of year ago can be quite an experience in itself. Whilst interacting with the locals and enjoying the wilderness, you will have an instant sense of remoteness in this place, which is only few km away from the capital.

Making the time to take a simple yoga class and combining it with trekking and cultural experience activities can be a rewarding way to help one experience balance and more peace in life.

Shivapuri National Park
Kathmandu valley is surrounded by many hills from all sides and Shivapuri (2732m) is the second highest among them. The name Shivapuri is also taken to denote Nepal’s youngest National Park popularly known as “Shivapuri National Park” adjoining the capital city Kathmandu. Covering an area of 144 sq km the park territory extends from Kakani to the West and Chisapani to the East. The whole of Shivapuri National Park area is equally suitable for Yoga, Meditation and Trekking course. This is a prime example of any capital linked with the National park area in the world. The National park is famous for varieties of medicinal herbs, flora and fauna. The park has also recorded 177 species of birds, 19 species of mammals and 150 species of butterflies which makes the Shivapuri National Park a nature’s paradise.

Yoga and Meditation – Why in Shivapuri?
The legend has that Shivapuri was the place where Lord Shiva lived and meditated. It is widely believed that the whole of Shivapuri area is vibrated with spiritual energy. In the Buddhist scriptures it is also mentioned that Lord Buddha before venturing towards a holy Buddhist shrine Shoyambhunath took bath and meditated in this area. Likewise Lord Vishnu (Budhanilkantha) can be seen lying down in this area. Similarly a great Indian holy sage and teacher who later came to be known as “Shivapuri Baba” also lived and meditated in this area till the age of 137 before resting eternally. From this religious fact it is evidently clear that the park area holds significant importance both for the Hindus and the Buddhists.

Additional reasons for choosing Shivapuri Park as a Yoga, Meditation and Trekking destination:
• Near from Kathmandu
• Cost and time effective
• Wilderness / Remoteness / Solitude
• Protected area
• The holy rivers Bagmati and Bishnumati starts from Shivapuri
• Many other spiritual palace; caves, temples, monasteries such as Budhanilkantha, Sundarimai, Bagdwar and the Nagi monastery attract thousands of pilgrims during festive seasons.

This could be the reason Shivapuri holds immense importance in meditation and Yogic practices. Therefore we organize Yoga, meditation and trekking courses at the same time for all our guests arriving for this purpose. Similarly we serve nutritious yogic food, preserve the yogic environment and provide a unique opportunity to practice yoga and meditation.

Short Itinerary

Proper decoration is very essential to make any occasion memorable. Honeymoon is the best period of any person’s life. It deserves to be well decorated and carefully planned. So it is evident that honeymoon decorations are very important and deserves careful attention.

Honeymoon decoration is determined by the likes and dislikes of the honeymoon couple. Traditionally flowers are the most important part of honeymoon decorations. If the hotel officials are informed about the arrival of the honeymooning couple, then they take care to decorate the room with flowers. Rose petals are sprinkled on the bed to welcome the couple with the happy fragrance of fresh flowers. Flower arrangements and honeymoon floral arrangements are also used to add a dramatic effect to the room. Different kinds of bouquets are also used to make the room of the newly weds look like a flowery haven.
